Work Day...

...time to start working for the next
Whistle Stop show!
Here's a peek into what we are working on.

Isn't this piece wonderful? We are trying to decide
if it's a keeper! It would be great w/ magazines
or turned horizontal for scrapbook paper!
Does anyone have that much paper?

Here is the accomplishment for today!

I seem to have a thing for tin & buckets!
Most of the buckets will be painted with
garden & Americana themes.

Here are a few pic's from our
Come Color Your World
Spring Show.

We put 10 bags of mulch around the patio
to make it look & smell like Spring.
Now I need to rake it up and move it to
the flower bed on the other side of the building.
Who's great idea was that!?
Oh, well... it will be good exercise.
The Garden Post Flowers are
a popular item. We sold them all!

These daisies on old newel posts with
old drawer pull centers were a hit too!
Glass domes were also a wanted item.

These herb boxes
(set of 4 from Ohio Wholesale)
were a fun item to use in displays.
I saw them on The Lettered Cottage blogspot.
She hung them in her kitchen as plate holders.
It was very cute!

This turquoise wire basket was
a favorite of mine. I can't believe I gave it up.
It's the exact color of an accent
wall in my basement.
 Oh, well...
...it went to a good home
and will be well loved I'm sure!

We made it through another one...

... and I'm exhausted, but in a good way. Our Spring Show was a success!
Pictures are up on our website at www.thewhistlestopcountrystore.com.
I'll have more to share when my brain has recovered to a
somewhat reasonable "thinking" mode!

for now this "old bird" says
good night
&
Happy Mother's Day
to all!

Four More Days...

Our Spring Show is only
4 days away!
Yikes!
Boy do we have a lot more to do!
We're praying for the sun to shine, that our power tools keep workin'
& our midnight oil doesn't burn out!

Here are some "Rescued" furniture pieces
that my DH is working on. There is many more piece to
be finished before Thursday!

Here is a cute old child's tool metal tool box.
Old blocks, child's shovel and train car were
estates sale finds in Fremont, NE.

More to come as the days progress!
