We truely appreciate your excitement,
your kind words & your hard earned
pennies spent with us!

We saw familar faces, connected with
fellow Bloggers and met new friends

Just Maybe...

... Mother Nature does listen!
We luckily escaped the thunder
storms on our first day of our
Summer Home Show!

We had a wonderful turn out
despite the hot, humid weather.
Many "Rescued" Furniture pieces
have found new homes and many
flower stakes are blooming in
friendly new gardens!

Here is the picture I promised.
What was the successful marriage of
old, new & in-between?

A potting bench!
Recycled tin, an old enamel top
kitchen table, parts & pieces from
days gone by & a new coat of paint make
this a very functional, yet fun place to
hang out in your garden! It has drawers
for soil, hooks for string & drying gloves.
A fold down door with screen to air bulbs.
A little box to put your clippers or your
phone so you know where you put them!

Heartfelt thanks to those you came to
support our little country store today!
We really do appreciate our customers!

That's all for now...
this old gal is tired and tomorrow we get
to do it all again! If I want to be able to
count back change I'd better get some sleep!
More pic's of some awesome
furniture will post soon!
Night, Night!

We have a large tent going up this afternoon,
with more than 40 pieces of furniture that
are supposed to go under it for our
Summer Home Show. Our shop is only
500 sq. feet and so to have more furniture
we rent a tent from our local Boy Scouts.

Not so sure that it's safe for the Boy Scouts
to put up a tent in lightning. I know they
are Boy Scouts and they are prepared
for everything... but, metal poles and
lightening... doesn't sound
like a good idea to me!

The grass is soggy, the rain is running down
the patio to the door of the shop, I have three
days worth of work to get done in one.
(and so my kids would say...
so what's new? )

Give me patience, give me strength,
Give me a go with the flow attitude!
Mother Nature is one that won't change
her plans just because I ask her to.

The show must go on... and it will!

A Creative Marriage...

Here is a peek at project that the
master carpenter (aka...my husband)
has been working on!

Any ideas of what it might be?

It is a marriage of many many things...
... old, new & in-between.

It will be sitting front & center on
The Whistle Stop's patio

Come check it out if you can... if you are a
visitor from "blogland" I will post
pictures after the show.

Mark Your Calendars...

The count down is on!
is less than two weeks away!

Our storage unit is filling up with
Rescued Furniture, things of old and
the market orders have begun to arrive!

We have just a few more days to wrap
up the projects and then it's on to setting
the stage for all these "wonderfuls" in
the tent & our little bit of a country store!

If you're in the area, we'd love
for you all to stop for a visit!
We'll have the sun tea brewin'!
