I Finally...

... got my hands on it!

And it didn't disappoint!

What made it even more fun...
The Whistle Stop  is "stylin' " too!
Vintage, antique, junkin'  finds at the "SToP"...
 just like Flea Market Style!

I love this photo {top} from Flea Market Style!
Vintage battery jars make great vases or containers
to show off any collection!
The photo {bottom} is a bouquet of flowers from
my garden last year... in a vintage glass battery jar!
I have a few of these that will be in the store this week!

Love, love, love the well worn sports equipment!
The bat coat rack has been a proven seller for us.
May have to try a few of the other projects shown here!
I have a bushel or two of old baseballs and
softballs ready to repurposed!

 The magazines collection of plates on the
               wall makes for great art!  If you want to start your
collection we have a few plates to get you started!

{The Whistle Stop}
Another love... old whisk brooms!
 Look at that collection of brooms
 and dusters!  I'm always on the hunt for
whisk brooms. Only one in stock right now,
but it would make a great addition or the
start to a wonderful collection.

   I've always been drawn to old office items.
I have my dad's old clipboard from his
electrical business... no computers in those days!
 { he passed away when I was 10 so it's pretty special}
I was always playing school, office and librarian as a kid.
I have a pile of clipboards coming to the "SToP"!

{Nancy Polacek's pillows}
{mine}
I love Nancy's pillows! Aren't they fun?
Memories are revived with these dated pillows.
 A customer bought a pillow from the "SToP"
because it was the year she and her husband got married!
I am on the hunt for more calendar towels to
repurpose into fun pillows!

{Flea Market Style}
{our kid's wedding reception}

Vintage weddings are so popular now!
My son & daughter-in-law's wedding reception
was all about fun, casual and vintage!
Right up my alley! It was so much fun to decorate!

***
I have a few Flea Market Style magazines for sale
at the shop!  So many beautiful photos, decorating
ideas and plain ol' junkin' fun stuff!
You're going to want one!

*Shout out to my friend Cammie
Contributor to Flea Market Style Magazine!
Awesome job girl!

Pictures...

A few pictures of our "We're Back" open house are now on the website.
Stay warm everyone! It's mighty cold... at least here in Nebraska!

The love...

... of an old suitcase.

What's the appeal of
these old, utilitarian
pieces of history?
Is it the warm colors,
the worn & tattered material,
the idea that they have
traveled far & wide?

They are such fun
decorating pieces, yet they
still provide function.
They've never lost
their usefulness.

This one is storing some of my
Whistle Stop memorabilia ready
to go in the scrapbook.

The second one holds
holiday crafts in progress,
the third old pictures,
the next two old mementos.
I've thought about selling
them, but as I look at
them I'm not sure I can.
They seem like old friends.

 A friend of mine has this great
tower of old suitcases in her home.
Decorated so cute with the
handmade tags. I love all the
different shades and textures.

Maybe my stack just
needs a few new friends.
